1,300 years after the adventures of How to Train Your Dragon, dragons are now a myth to the modern world. A rare geological event opens a huge fissure kilometers deep in the earth's surface and scientists from all over the world gather in new facilities to study the mysterious phenomenon. Soon, a group of children discovers the whole truth about the dragons and where they are hiding - a secret they must keep to themselves in order to protect the dragons.
Tom is a smart, young adventurer. Raised by his scientist mother, he has a strong sense of curiosity. He wants to explore everything - but sometimes he forgets to consider the consequences. Always by his side is the Thunder dragon who was lost from his home when the rift opened. He is a descendant of Fafoutis and Lefki Orgi. Its legs, head and wings move while ice projectiles can be fired from its mouth. Using the saddle, Tom can mount him and together they can go on new exciting dragon adventures.
