1,300 years after the adventures of How to Train Your Dragon, dragons are now a myth to the modern world. A rare geological event opens a huge fissure kilometers deep in the earth's surface and scientists from all over the world gather in new facilities to study the mysterious phenomenon. Soon, a group of children discovers the whole truth about the dragons and where they are hiding -- a secret they must keep to themselves in order to protect the dragons.
D'Angelo is the son of an ex-soldier who is in charge of security at the lab, he is good and very disciplined. His biggest fear is disappointing his parents. With a strong interest in veterinary medicine, he quickly becomes the team's "dragon doctor". D'Angelo's dragon belongs to Tracker Class Dragons. Despite her size, Plowhorn is an outcast from her family as she is the smallest of the pack. D'Angelo's compassion and trust help her express her feelings and together they create an unshakable duo.
A small horn on the dragon's head serves as a saddle for D'Angelo. The dragon's legs, wings and jaw move. With her horn, Plowhorn can blast the large crystal.
