When Spanish lord Alonso Kihada begins to read knightly novels, his mind is flooded with duels, wounds, chivalrous deeds, and quarrels. He then changes his name to Don Quixote, christens his horse Rosinande, takes his neighbor, Sancho Panza, as his knight, and begins to correct any injustice done to the world. Don Quixote, always in love with his Dulcinea, is embroiled in a series of adventures between reality and fantasy and dedicates all his victories to it.
Miguel de Cervantes' most important work is a 16th-century trip to Spain and is one of the classic works of world literature, translated into more than sixty languages.
