The Hanoi Tower consists of three bars and five different discs. The game begins with discs stacked in order of size on a bar with the smallest at the top. The goal is to move the entire stack to another bar. The rule is that you can only move one disk at a time without putting a larger disk on a smaller one. Anoi Tower develops various skills and especially problem solving.
This puzzle was invented by the French mathematician Edward Lucas in 1883. It is also known as the Tower of Luke and the Tower of Brahma.
